Why have your car detailed in the winter?

We hear it all the time; Having my car detailed in the winter is a waste. It’s better to wait until spring. While winter may be cold and miserable at times, it is the most important time to have your car’s paint protected.
Here in the northeast, “winter” in the minds of many and for the sake of this discussion, runs from about November until April. That’s six months that many people think are a time where protection doesn’t matter. During these months, your car is bombarded by the environment! Rain, snow, ice, salt and liquid ice melt all pose their own unique effects on your car. Rain and snow bring water spots to an unprotected finish that, left untreated, will etch their way into the clear coat resulting in permanent damage that cannot always be polished out.
A car that isn’t properly protected can be marred from ice that easily adheres to an uncoated surface. A properly applied ceramic coating will shed most water before it freezes and will not allow the ice that does form to adhere to the paint. This makes your car easier to clean off and less likely to be scratched.
Salt and liquid ice melt pose their own unique problems to our vehicles in that they can literally rot them out from under us. Salt that sits on untreated body panels (ie. the paint) will eventually degrade the clear coat and oxidize any metals exposed by the smallest of chips in your finish. Here again, a properly coated vehicle will shed this corrosive solution helping preserve your car.
Our services are available year round, even in the winter, because it’s really the most important time to protect your car.
One more thing, who doesn’t love the look of a professionally coated paint job on a bright winter’s day made even brighter by a fresh layer of snow?

Detailing is different from washing the speed machine. Detailing is a maintenance errand that goes beyond a normal quick car wash. It is a thorough cleaning approach using which you can clean both interior and exterior of your adorable road companion. Snowflakes and snowy thoroughfares can cause damage to speed machines. But if you detail your car in winter, then you can protect your investment. Because detailing can prevent corrosion-related damage, and improve your vehicle's resale value as well as the overall safety level. That's why detailing is recommended during the Jack Frost.
